Michael Francis ( Rizzi ) Corleone was born in 1920, to Vito and Carmela Corleone. Michael had a normal childhood, but unlike his brothers whom wanted to take part in the family business, he wished nothing to do with it. So, he enrolled in Dartmouth College, but after hearing his father's plans for him through his adopted brother Tom Hagen, he enlisted as a Marine and was discharged with an Award ( Navy Cross ) and for his bravery, was featured in the Life Magazine.
But he was pulled in the business he never wanted to be in when his old man got shot by Solozzo and his men. Knowing that McClusky is on Solozzo's payroll, he shows his cunning by setting up a plan to kill both Solozzo and McClusky while disgusing as a civilian.
Fleeing to Sicily for the murders he has committed, he met his future wife, Apollonia, who he married. She died later on by driving a car with a bomb intended for Michael.
Thrown unconscious by the explosion made, it was a week after Michael awoken from his mini-comatose. He, then, informed Dom Tommasino to tell his father to take him home. That he now intends to be his son.
Returning home while still in denial of Apollonia's death, he takes over as his father's replacement of The Don, and asking Kay to marry him. Presenting his father with his first son, Anthony, he goes over the plan again and again to whoever will try to kill Michael next. Revenge runs strongly in Michael's veins as he learns of one of his men's own betrayal, as well as his brother-in-law's.
Seeing the perfect opportunity in killing all of the Mafia Heads during the baptism of Connie's son, he eliminates Carlo Rizzing, along with the ordering of the killing of Moe Greene and the rest of the Mafia Heads. With Moe Greene gone, he and his family moves to Nevada.
